GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ‘PRETTIG BEVALLEN’ COURSE

Article 1. General terms and conditions.
These general terms and conditions apply to the Prettig Bevallen course.
The Pleasant Birth course provides childbirth preparation for couples in groups or privately. In addition, there are opportunities to follow a weekend course and a refresher course. All courses are hereinafter referred to as ’the Course’.

 

Article 2. Definitions

Course leader: an experienced midwife (professional), certified to give the course Pleasant Birth participant: the pregnant woman and/or her partner who have registered for a course Pleasant Birth and whose registration has been confirmed.

 

Article 3. The course

The course Prettig Bevallen is given by a course leader of Prettig Bevallen. The complete course can be followed in a group of a minimum of three and a maximum of 4 pregnant women and their partner or privately. The course consists of 2 sessions of 2 hours before delivery.

The instructor determines on which date and on which day the course starts. The instructor will announce this prior to the course. The weekend course can be followed in a group as well as privately. The weekend course consists of 2 sessions of 2 hours within one weekend at an external location. Both the weekend and the location will be determined in consultation. A refresher course can be given in 1 or 2 sessions to 1 couple privately. Location is negotiable.

 

Article 4.  Registration
Registration is done via the website. A registration cannot be completed if the data is incomplete. The following applies to the private course: as soon as the Prettig Bevallen course leader has confirmed in writing via e-mail that the registration has taken place, there is a mutual commitment between Prettig Bevallen and the participant.

The following applies to the group course: if there are enough registrations (minus 3 couples), a group will be put together.

Registration alone does not guarantee that participant will follow the course.

 

Article 5. Rates

The rates of the course can be found on the website www.prettigbevallen.nl (prices are subject to change) or can be requested from the instructor where participant wants to follow the course.

 

Article 6. Payment

For the private course, you will receive an invoice by e-mail in the week of the last session. This must be paid within two weeks. For the group course, the course fee must be paid in advance. You will receive the invoice by e-mail 4 weeks before the start of the course, which must be paid within 1 week.

Registration alone does not guarantee that you will follow the course.

After payment of the course fee, the course is final, unless cancelled, see articles 7 and 8. Participants can submit the invoice to their health insurer in order to request reimbursement. You must consult the policy conditions of her insurer whether (part of) the course will be reimbursed. Both courses, both private and group, are given under the following conditions; Prettig Bevallen is a course

• in preparation for childbirth,
• is given by graduated midwives, has an AGB code (08004419 midwifery/company)
• is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (no. 68869258).

Prettig Bevallen has no influence on this and cannot guarantee that (part of) the course will be reimbursed.

 

Article 7. Cancellation by the participant

In case of cancellation, he/she must inform the instructor immediately. This can be done by telephone or in writing. In case of cancellation without a medical reason, the following applies;
The participant does not have an absolute right to attend the course at a different time or location. Up to 4 weeks before the start of the course, it can be cancelled free of charge, after which the following applies; In case of cancellation up to 14 days before the start of the course, the course fee will be charged for 50%. In case of cancellation (of the entire course) within 14 days before the start of the course, the full course fee is due. If the invoice is not paid at the start of the course, the amount will be increased by € 25.00 and must be paid on the spot.

If the course is cancelled for medical reasons, i.e. premature birth or hospitalisation, a refund will be granted on a pro rata basis.

In case of cancellation of a session of an ongoing group course on non-medical grounds, a possible solution will be sought. You will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when a place becomes available in another group. The session can also be followed privately for an additional fee. There will be no refunds.

In case of cancellation of a session of an ongoing private course on non-medical grounds within 24 hours before the appointment, the session will be charged.  Rescheduling an appointment is possible in consultation.

 

Article 8. Cancellation by Prettig Bevallen
Prettig Bevallen or the instructor reserves the right to cancel a course in case of force majeure. Any course fees paid will be refunded. The instructor will make every effort to offer the participant the opportunity to follow the course, at a different location or in a different composition.

 

Article 9. Confidentiality
The instructor will treat the information provided by the participant confidentially.

 

Article 10. Intellectual property
The course material provided is the property of Prettig Bevallen and/or the course leader. The rights of the intellectual property with regard to the course, the course material and any other documents/products related to the course are reserved by Prettig Bevallen and/or the course leader. Without the express written permission of Prettig  Bevallen and/or the course leader, no data from and/or parts and/or extracts of the course material provided may be published, exploited, or reproduced in any other way.

 

Article 11. Liability participation in the course is at your own risk.
It is up to the participant to decide for himself whether participation in the course is possible. Liability for damage caused during the course or by following the course is limited to the amount that is covered by the liability insurance of Prettig Bevallen Brabant in the case in question. Indirect damage will not be compensated. The course Prettig Bevallen is only informative: the course participant will follow the advice of his own midwife at all times. The course leader of Prettig Bevallen does not bear any responsibility for the advice she gives and the course participant’s failure to follow the advice of her own midwife.
